Message ...glad to hear that - it's refreshing to see newer members going right into the search (it's rare around here:). As for your questions, I can't help you on the eBay questions - that's stuff you'll have to ask the seller. As for the others though:

1 - Zs are all about maintenance. Properly maintained they'll run forever (I'm over 214k miles on my NA without it ever having the engine apart - normal wear items only, with the exception of the differential carrier bearings going south on me). If at all possible, buy a Z with maintenance records, and have it thoroughly checked by a professional, especially a compression check. You may spend $100 or more on a Z being checked only to find it's not worth buying, but think of how much more it would've cost you if you just bought it without having it checked.

2 - You could drive it with bad turbos, but I wouldn't. It kind of depends on the turbo failure, but I suppose you could drive it. It's highly recommended that you don't however. With the budget you're working with, at that point I'd spring for bigger turbos:)

4 - I wouldn't take a Z to just any mechanic. Fortunately for you, there are a lot of very competent TTNet members in your area so getting help with service shouldn't be a problem. If you have them help you, make sure you're getting your hands dirty as well, and you'll learn a lot. Buy a service manual as well - it's worth its weight in platinum (they're available here in the Classifieds section from a couple different members).

5 - Seriously, get full coverage. You don't want to have to pay for parts for these cars out of your own pocket. I had a minor hit just after I got my car on the front right fender, and it was a $3300 repair. Get full coverage and swallow the lump. It's not cheap, but it beats paying to fix it out of your own pocket.

Hope it helps - like Whiplash said, use FAQ and Search, and you'll learn a lot fast. Oh, and welcome to the Z community:)
